In 1891, a hotel, the Orion Saloon, and a sash & door shop were some of the business buildings located along the north side of Main Street. Slipman & Co. General Merchandise, the Gem Palace Saloon, a hardware store, The Marshall House, the Weston Livery Stable, and the United Methodist Church occupied the south side of Main Street. The Weston Leader newspaper was located on the upper floor of the brick building at Main and Water Streets.
